roots of the inner product by piethein21 roots of the inner product by piethein21
I've seen a lot of people viewed my tutorial but only 2 showed result. So by posting a "result" of the tutorial i hope to make people more motivated to actually do it instead of only looking at it :P
This is not really a result of the tutorial because i didnt put the "abstract" part in a bubble but in a cylinder and did a flux with mirrored linear on the other side. but the concept remains ;)

enjoy :)

ps here is a link to a tutorial ;) ;) ;) [link]

This is a beautiful piece that caught immediatly my attention! First of all I like the colouring in association with the white areas which really are an eyecatcher in the midst of this fractal.
The technique itself is a very good realization of the idea this artist has explained us in his latest tutorial. The general shape let one think about branches or - indeed - roots! The basic spiral shape located in these cylinders looks very beautiful too.
At last this work has been cropped in a favourable way and has been rendered in a convincing quality.
All in all it's prominent in respect of other works released these days ...
What do you think?

I've run into a problem: instead of staying with a nice spiral like the ones you have in your tutorial, I have a bubble in the middle and a weird geometrical form in the right side. The rest is plain black.
I will try do it again tomorrow, to see if I missed something in the text but any idea of what maybe going wrong?
(and it is hard to work without seeing anything. LOL)

hmm sounds like you forgot the curl or did something wrong in the xaos tab such that no points will go there. you have on the curl "from t3 =1" and "to t5=1" and it needs opacity 1 and your bubble needs 0.
its hard indeed xD put gamma and brightness up and you would see "something" but not much xD

Mind if I send you my Params so you can see what I'm doing wrong? I picked up Tx1 & 2 from the "file" you uploaded with the tutorial (the link, as a matter a fact). I have my curl all right and I did all as you said. Still having my weird shape. :\

you get an error cause outer product gives you a vector and whats the root of a vector? (or do you want componentwise?)

thing is i want a norm :P todays subject of my class was normed spaces (||.||_2 and ||.||_inf in particular)

Outer product would give you an n x n matrix, if we are talking linear algebra.

Componentwise would probably be less of a headache.
